Villa Moving in Limassol: What a Premium Relocation Looks Like
Published 18 February 2025
Villas in Limassol are some of the most rewarding — and most demanding — moves we run. Long driveways, marble floors, glass railings, pianos, large outdoor furniture and art collections all need careful planning rather than brute force.
At EasyMove by Klein we move families, students, expats and businesses across Cyprus every week. This guide shares what we've learned from hundreds of real relocations so you can plan smarter and avoid surprises. If you'd rather skip straight to a price, you can request a free quote on our homepage or message us on WhatsApp.
What makes a villa move different
Compared to a standard apartment relocation, a Limassol villa move usually involves more volume, more fragile items and a longer day. We typically send a crew of three to four trained movers, multiple sets of blankets and straps, and dedicated transport sized to the property.
You can see the standard scope on our villa moving page, but every villa is unique and we tailor the plan after a short walk-through or a video call.
Protecting marble floors and stairs
Many Limassol villas feature marble or polished tile floors that scratch easily. We lay floor protection runners along the main routes and use felt sliders under heavy furniture. Stairs are protected with non-slip blankets so neither the steps nor the bannisters get damaged during the carry.
Outdoor furniture, BBQs and pool equipment
Outdoor furniture is often forgotten until moving day. Large dining sets, sun loungers, pergolas and BBQs need to be dismantled, wrapped and protected from sun and dust. Pool equipment such as pumps, robotic cleaners and chemical containers must be handled separately from household items for safety reasons.
Pianos, art and antiques
For pianos, we bring specialised straps and a piano dolly. Upright pianos are wrapped first and moved by three to four people; grand pianos require additional planning and we usually inspect them in advance. Art is wrapped in glassine and bubble film, then crated for the journey. Antique furniture is disassembled only when absolutely necessary, otherwise wrapped and braced inside the truck.
Long driveways and access in Limassol
Hillside villas around Limassol often have driveways too narrow or too steep for a large truck. We deal with this by either positioning the main truck at the entrance and shuttling items with a smaller van, or by carefully reversing the truck up in good light. Either way, we plan it before the day rather than improvising on arrival.
Insurance and documentation
For high-value villa moves we recommend an insured contract and an itemised inventory list. We provide standard care for every move; for premium contents we work with your insurer or arrange specific cover. Always keep small valuables — passports, jewellery, hard drives — with you personally on the day.
